It has a color and shape similar to dead leaves, and it stays in dead leaves and does not move much during the day.

When threatened, it spreads its wings and takes a menacing posture.

It is the most common species found in the Dead leaf Mantis in Southeast Asia.

和名の由来は胸がひし形をしているためです。

似た種にマルムネカレハカマキリもいます。
