A grasshopper that cannot fly, with short, degenerated brown wings.

Since it cannot fly, the distance traveled is short, and the species are becoming more differentiated, so it is not clear how many species should be divided.

 

At first glance, it looks like a locust.

 

Females are larger in body, and males are generally around 25 mm in length and females around 30 mm in length.

 

短く退化した茶色い翅を持った、飛ぶことのできないバッタです。

飛べないことから移動距離が短く、種の分化が進んでおり、いったい何種類に分けるべきかも、はっきり定まっていません。

その姿は一見するとイナゴに似ています。

身体はメスの方が大きめで、一般にオスの体長は 25mm 前後、メスでは 30mm 前後です。
